Join Dee S. Knight, Paranomral Erotic Romance Author as she talks about her book, Passionate Destiny: A woman who inherits a house only to discover she is sharing it with a ghost.
Dee, not sure I can stay up this late but I'll try. I read and loved your ghost story. Here's my question: Do you prefer to write stories with paranormal elements over straight contemporary romance? I ask because I'm trying my hand (for the first time) at a time-travel. Since I'm not using a scientific gate or wormhole to create the time travel, I classify this as paranormal. It's a supernatural event, personal to the hero and heroine, that causes her to jump time. This is a real departure for me but I've discovered it's more fun to write than straight contemporary. Has that been your experience as well?
That's a long-winded question. Enjoy the show and good luck. Vanessa
Hi Dee, the setting you use in Passionate Destiny is rather unique and the excerpt is sufficient to make me melt in my seat! I've put it at the top of my buylist.
Hi, Dee! Your books are so rich in background situations, I was wondering if you'd actually spent time in the cities and regions you describe -- San Francisco and Virginia are two that come to mind. What other regions can we expect to see your characters in in future novels? Have a great show!
I'm a novice when it comes to these blogs, so I think I'll answer everyone's questions in one fell swoop.
First, thanks so much for taking the time to send a note! I do appreciate it.
I am planning a sequel for Passionate Destiny. I'm thrilled that readers enjoyed the book enough to want a sequel! It will be Aaron's atory--the baby who was unborn at the end of PD--and it will be one of reincarnation.
Pam P. you're absolutely the nicest person! Thanks for your confidence.
Pam K. I haven't had any experience with ghosts. But you know, I talked about the interest my mother in law had in the paranormal, and she just died this past July. I sort of thought she might stay in touch. We'll see. Maybe she'll be too busy, lol.
Erica, thanks for that question. Between trucking and Jack's consulting, we've seen a good bit of the country, so any place is fair game. He talked last year to a man about consulting internationally. So, have laptop, will travel. :) Don't be surprised to see any city or region in one of my books. BTW, I wish I'd had chance to mention Deborah or Mixed Media or your other wonderful books, but the hour flew by!
Tracee, Janean, Pam K. Pam P. Kimberly, Rhi, Erica, Vanessa, Jenny--thank you all for your questions and comments. You made the evening very special.
And thanks, Sally! What a talent you have for making someone feel at ease!

Hey dee what made you think of using a ghost in your story. Have you had personal experience with one?
